THEORETICAL CHEMISTRY RULES

The first rule is "publish, publish and publish". You have to write and publish a LOT of theoretical chemistry papers before you will get anyone's attention. The second rule is "be original". Thinking of new things is what will ensure attention and recognition....while going over established thinking is far less likely to get any lasting attention. The third rule is try to cover a variety of topics and try to use the entire Periodic Table in your work. Work that is always about the same thing (with the exception of using a fundamental concept in chemistry in a multitude of novel applications) will get less attention than original work in the different areas of theoretical chemistry. The fourth rule is try to minimize the number of your co-authors. Original work that is of lasting value correlates inversely with the number of co-authors on the work. Witness your books Roald....how many co-authors are listed on your books. The fifth rule is to write a book about the major parts of your theoretical work. A book is a higher profile venue in which to communicate your ideas to the theoretically oriented community. These are some of the rules that you should follow in order to get the attention of the community.

PLATONISM

Just as (1) the ubiquity of sunlight lead to the evolution of photosynthetic organisms and (2) later the ubiquity of an atmosphere lead to the evolution of wings and winged organisms (on several occasions) and (3) the ubiquity of water led to fins and finned organisms and (4) and again the ubiquity of light lead to the evolution of eyes (on several occasions)…..and so on.....Thus we have to admit that the evolution of the human mind with its access to mathematical truth and access to things cerebral.....must be due to the presence and ubiquity of a kind of mental air upon which the human mind evolved against towards its current state. Sunlight and water and air are admittedly physical things while mental air is not physical, except in the sense that "mental air" drove the evolution of the human brain.....Mental air is also known as "The Platonic World" or as "Platonism". Where Plato held that knowledge in its various forms exists "out there" in the Universe without any physical location and the human mind gets glimpses of these truths through millions of years of the evolution of the human mind against its presence. "The Platonic World" or "mental air" is what Judeo-Christians speak about as Heaven and Hell in their holy books and teachings. All things wonderful and horrible (and everywhere in between) have their archetypes in the various forms of "mental air". "Mental air" is where the collective human mind comes from and again on to which the collective human mind returns to in the course of time and the movements of the universe. In other words Heaven and Hell exist "out there" without any physical location but they influence creation somehow and we are connected to them through the course of the unfolding of our lives.
