FLUBBER

There was a 1950's movie by Disney, featuring Fred MacMurray as a college chemistry professor, which was called "Flubber". Flubber was kind of a polymer that the MacMurray character created or synthesized in his chemistry laboratory. Flubber would bounce off of a surface and keep bouncing higher and higher seemingly against gravity. Anyway "flubber" sounds troublingly like "glitter" I am sorry to say. I mean the pronunciations are analogous.........People would brand you and me as the creators of another flubber I am sorry to say...........Citing my work on n-diamond and i-carbon was perhaps not advisable in such a high profile venue.........like you did...........Even if you tell people......."Well I don't really believe Bucknum's theories........I just feel sorry for him because he worked so hard on them"..........people will not buy that story Roald.........Most people reading your article think you are endorsing my theories.......I am afraid that my theories will turn out to be flubber after all.........it will be very sad.
