FREE MASONRY & CATHOLICISM

Free Masonry, like the Catholic Church, is only as moral as its many members are. There are good and bad human beings and so it is for Masonry and the Church. The Masons believe the Universe was designed and that there is or was a designer. I believe this too and the Eddington ratios suggest this as well…i.e. the structural constants of Nature and the Universe are not of accidental value and are thus designed or finely tuned to be mathematically significant numbers…MJB

LAWRENCE WASHINGTON

Lawrence Washington was the half brother of George Washington and he one time invited George to visit some of the Carribean and meet some of Larry’s family there. George went then to the Carribean some time in his early years and met some of Larry’s family. In any case some of Larry’s blood relations in the Carribean were of African descent and they may have thus been distant relatives of GW. And the Free Masons decided to design the Washington monument as an obelisk because it is of Egyptian origin. I was told all of this in my 20’s before I ever worked for the Federal Government. I have never seen this information and historical facts in any reputable reference work thus…MJB

TIMAEUS

The Timaeus is the great work in which the 5 Platonic polyhedra are constructed in its culmination. Plato described a Cosmogony in which the Platonic polyhedra are the 5 ‘elements’ of the Cosmos. Indeed it turns out that imperfect vestiges of these polyhedral archetypes are expressed in the structural forms of the World. Plato was on the right pathway. I think that chemical graph theory is partly the truth in some ways as well. The descriptors I have defined in terms of V and E and F and nF = 2E and pV = 2E, would hold primacy in such an analysis. They emerge from the formula for graphs…V - E + F = 1…I think that someday they will be useful, in various product and ratio descriptor index forms, in chemistry and biological chemistry contexts, through various structure-property analyses.

ALLENEIDE PATTERNS

Structures with the 4- allene-ide anion would include a 4+ cation, tetragonal phase in P4-bar analogous to the calcium carbide structure containing a 2- acetylide anion & a 2+ calcium cation. A phase like titanium tri-carbide or other titanium (Group 4) tri-carbides…or a di-alkaline earth allene-ide in I4-bar for example, if such a structure is possible. The body centered tetragonal phase in I4-bar would be 2 alkaline earth cations to one allene-ide, with the allene-ide ion centered at (1/2, 1/2, 0) and the 2 alkaline earth cations at (0, 0, 0) & (1/2, 1/2, 1/2)…MJB

de MOIVRE's THEOREM

de Moivre’s theorem is a most beautiful result of complex analysis involving powers of ‘e to the i x n x pi’ where one gets a lot of trigonometric identities from this simple theorem in a straightforward way, Ezra showed me the formula one day and I learned it in a 400 level math course in ‘complex analysis’ taught by some guy I do not remember his name now...MJB

ROOTS of UNITY

On the unit circle in the complex plane one can identify various points, that are defined by complex mathematics as roots of unity, and when the various sets of points are connected they inscribe various polygons in the unit circle…so that there are a set of ‘n’ roots of unity that when connected together they inscribe an n-gon in the unit circle thus…and this implies a way of defining polygons mathematically thus…MJB
