NANOCRYSTALLINE

Perhaps you remain skeptical of things nanocrystalline. Nanocrystals are so small......smaller than dust particles.......that they cannot be seen with even an optical microscpe. Nanocrystalline matter is characterized as a material patterning of atoms......the smallest possible scale of a material patterning of atoms that produces a photograph of its reciprocal space when exposed to electron waves in a electron microscope........I think I have this right........because you can get a Laue photograph of the nanometer-sized matter it is by definition crystalline. In a diamond anvil cell you can produce nanocrystals which are sometimes observed with synchrotron radiation (x-rays). I know it seems beyond the limits of detection............something smaller than dust particles..........evidently nanocrystalline matter exists as another world of possibilities of the way nature can organize itself.........Although it does not appear that there could be any application of nanocrystalline matter...........it does shine new light on chemical bonding problems and questions about the ultimate organization of matter.
