ACETYLIDE PHOTOCHEMISTRY

I wonder if any one of the various acetylides can be photochemically induced to react from within their respective lattices. To induce the component acetylides to react with each other in a massively parallel photochemical "addition" across the given lattice. What might one get? Perhaps graphite and alkaline earth metal. I know when you add water to calcium carbide you get methane that can be ignited to form an illuminating light and heat.
